Christmas in the projects

January 2022: We hope you had a peaceful and relaxing holiday season with lots of goodies, kind words, and joyful times together. All the best for 2022!

In our four aid projects in South Africa we were able to make many small dreams come true thanks to your great willingness to donate during the pre-Christmas period.

In the children's home, as every year, there was a beautiful Christmas party at the end of November before the start of the summer vacations.

This time, to the great joy of the children, several Santa Clauses came on a truck and brought the gifts for all the children and housemothers.

In the feeding project 355 meals were served for the traditional "Christmas Lunch".

On December 14, delicious "Chicken Briyani", a nutritious chicken stew, was served. In addition, 250 gift packages with food, as well as school supplies and toys for the children were distributed to the families in need.

We were able to present the best Christmas gifts in the township: a wheelchair each for Londi, Mboneni and Mphushe.

Our Facebook Christmas fundraising made the purchase of the 3 much needed wheelchairs possible - just great. Thank you for your support.

Furthermore, in addition to the regular survival packages, we were also able to distribute food to the 7 families who lost their huts in the devastating fire in early December. The families who received gifts also received disinfectants, masks and hygiene items.

For the fire victims, we are collecting donations separately for the reconstruction of the dwellings, which we hope can begin soon. We would be very grateful for your help - maybe there will be enough money for some additional cooking pots, dishes and blankets...

In our three preschools of the village project there was double joy: Christmas and the farewell of the preschool children was celebrated with a great party.

For Christmas, each child received a small gym bag with a toothbrush, soap, pencils, coloring book, toys and sweets. All the children's eyes lit up with excitement. The teachers, who really do a fantastic job, also received a Christmas present from us. Of course, before the holidays, 30 particularly needy families in the villages were again visited and given sufficient food. This time there were lots of fresh vegetables included, like broccoli and huge cabbages.

Now we are looking forward to an exciting year 2022. We have many ideas and are full of energy. Siyabonga - Thank you for your interest and your loyal support.
