The Children's Home in Greytown offers a new home to children between the ages of 2 and 19, who used to live under difficult circumstances (poverty, alcoholism, abuse or sickness). Many of the children are badly traumatized and almost one third is HIV positive.

At present, around 140 children live in one of the seven houses, each supervised by a permanent childcare worker. With its large premisses, the play grounds, a computer / study room, a vegetable garden as well as the engaged team of care takers and social workers, the Children's Home offers great development opportunities to the kids. It offers each child the opportunity to go to school. Furthermore, the Children’s Home has a small sick bay (medical building) on the premisses and also offers psychological care.

The Children's Home receives monthly government grants for each child. However, a large portion of the running costs of the Children’s Home needs to be covered through donations.

Our organisation concentrates on the financial support of the small sick bays as well as the funding of school and preschool fees for the children.

Here you can find the last annual report of the Children's Home.
