February 2025: Thank you very much for your great support during the Christmas season 2024. Thanks to your generous donations and creative campaigns, we were able to give our four projects in South Africa a particularly wonderful Christmas season.

In the run-up to Christmas, we specifically asked for donations for small Christmas presents for the children in our four projects. Your diverse support through various channels was simply overwhelming.

Successful PayPal donation campaign

By registering with PayPal, we can now offer a convenient way to donate easily. The first PayPal campaign “A gift for every child” was a complete success: with your help, we raised a total of 1’452 Euros - far more than our target of 1’000 Euros. This donation enabled us to give Christmas presents to the children in our projects and put a smile on their faces. We are delighted that donations can still be made easily via PayPal.

Mixtapes for a good cause - Santa House & Reggae Klaus

On 21 December 2024, DJ Radi and his DJ friends organized a very special event: at a cosy outdoor session with a fire barrel, mulled wine and a small dance floor, four mixtapes were created and auctioned off for the benefit of our association. The proceeds of 235 Euros went directly to our projects. Many thanks to everyone who took part.

Christmas in the projects - how we celebrated in South Africa at 35°C

Special thanks also go to our loyal major and regular donors. Thanks to your generous Christmas donations, we were able to transfer a total of 12'000 Euros to our four projects on December 27. This sum forms a fantastic basis for a positive start to the new year. We are very grateful to you and wish you and your loved ones all the best and good luck in 2025.

Children's home

The absolute highlight was the big Christmas party at the Greytown children's home on November 16 - traditionally before the Christmas holidays, when many children travel to their relatives or foster families. The celebration was an unforgettable event: employees dressed up as Santa Clauses and distributed presents. The children who travel during the vacations were given their own suitcases - a practical and personal gift. The children had rehearsed a great program with traditional dances, which was rounded off with a delicious picnic. With your donations, we were not only able to finance this celebration and the gifts, but also provide new school materials, clothing and hygiene products. In 2025, we also plan to renovate the playground for the small children.

Village project

Food parcels were also distributed to particularly needy families in the villages of Muden and Keates Drift over the Christmas period. The families' children also received small gifts such as toys and cuddly toys. For the pre-school children, we are once again planning gym bags with coloring books, pencils and hygiene articles to make the transition to elementary school easier for them. We are particularly looking forward to the planned “graduation parties” - the pre-school children's farewell parties - which will take place again this year.

Feeding project

The annual Christmas dinner in the feeding project on December 12 was a great success. There was a festive chicken curry with rice and we were able to fill 354 hungry tummies. In addition, 50 food parcels for adults and 50 parcels for children were distributed - filled with fruit, drinks and snacks. The joy was immense.

Township project

In addition to the monthly parcels of food and hygiene products, 25 children received a backpack filled with a drinking bottle, a coloring book and pencils as a Christmas present. The little ones now proudly walk to local kindergartens and schools with their own bags. At the beginning of the year, we were able to finance a school uniform and school materials for a 7-year-old girl called Dhrivika. Her single mother is currently unemployed and would not have been able to pay for the school uniform, which is compulsory in South Africa, without our help. See for yourself how brightly Dhrivika started her very first day at school. We will continue to provide school uniforms and support the education of other children from destitute families in 2025.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and the trust you place in us and our projects. Your help has made the lives of many children and families in South Africa a little bit better over the past year and turned the festive season into something very special. Siyabonga kakulo - thank you very much.

We already have many exciting projects lined up for 2025 and we look forward to continuing to have you at our side.

Best wishes and best wishes for the year 2025.
