Netto fundraising & renovation of the new preschool

August 2023: here we go! On Monday, the donation phase of the regional Netto fundraising campaign “Get involved for our organization" began. From 4th September to 30th December, you can make our organization’s cash register ring with every purchase at Netto in Geibelstrasse 27 in Erfurt.

Simply round up the amount at the checkout or donate your deposit receipt. A small amount for you - a big help for Siyabonga!

On the following days, Netto will even double the amount collected through a corporate donation: Tuesday Sept. 19, Saturday Oct. 7 and Saturday Nov. 11.

Meanwhile in South Africa we used the winter vacations to do some renovation work on the small new preschool in the village project. It now shines in new colors after a paint job and a wonderful large vegetable garden was built. This was indeed a major operation: the wild terrain first had to be mowed and dug over and straightened with an excavator. To protect it from thieves of any kind - humans and animals like especially the free-roaming goats in the area - the garden was fenced in. The first vegetable plants have been planted and we hope for a good harvest. A tree for shade has also been planted. We are all overjoyed, but especially the dedicated teachers of the preschool and their rascals.

We were able to finance the plants for the garden with the help of donations from the charity run of the Moritz School in Erfurt - a great example of commitment "by children for children". Siyabonga - THANK YOU!
