April 2022: We are very pleased that with the relaxation of the Corona measures, some fundraising activities can now take place again.
We are enthusiastic about the creative spring fundraising campaign of the Moritz School in Erfurt, which was held under the motto "by children for children", just like the traditional charity run or the Christmas concerts in the past. The elementary school students had created many beautiful things, which they sold to their families to raise donations. An impressive € 3’408 was collected - simply wonderful. We would like to thank all children, parents, teachers and the principal of the Moritzschule, Mrs. Beecken, for this wonderful fundraising (thank you letter in German only).
On March 21, 2022, Wolfgang Hock, nature photographer and biology teacher of the Edith-Stein-School Erfurt, could finally inspire his audience again with an impressive slide show in the community hall of St. Severi in Erfurt. Mr. Hock shows his impressive animal and nature photographs in lectures, and he sells calendars and postcards, thus collecting donations for our association for many years. For this a hearty Siyabonga - thank you.
Looking back, we are very grateful that so many donors have not forgotten our projects in South Africa during the Corona pandemic. Through your support we were able to transfer € 26'300 to the projects in 2021. The full financial report for 2021 can be viewed here (German only).
We wish you and your loved ones sunny Easter days and a busy Easter bunny.
Many greetings from the Siyabonga Board
