Advent fundraising campaign: A wheelchair for Tsoanelo

Dec 2025: This year, we would like to tell you about Tsoanelo Gcawu, a six-year-old boy from our township project.

Until the age of two, Tsoanelo developed normally and was able to walk and talk. But then everything changed suddenly: he lost both his mobility and his speech. To date, no cause has been found and no effective therapy has been initiated, so Tsoanelo now has to live with severe motor impairment.

Currently, he can only move around by crawling on his stomach or with the help of a walking frame. His family is coping with the challenges of everyday life as best they can, and we are already supporting them with transportation costs for regular clinic visits.

Now Tsoanelo urgently needs a wheelchair so that he can once again experience more participation, independence, and dignity.
